Each week our young Warriors get stronger and and faster! And this week was not exception! Our Warriors put on a show yesterday at the Ayala Last Chance Meet! Leaving coaches and parents alike with little to no voice left form all the cheering! Ranges from ages 6-13 out kids went out there and ran well against high school age kids! PR after PR all morning long! Top performances in the 1600 (mile) from Zeth Arellano running 5:36 and Natalia Zuniga running 5:53!!! These kids aren't even in high school yet! Big PR's from many but here a few of note Justin Rocha with a great race to win his heat in 6:30 and Justin Arredoondo with a great kick to run 6:28!. Jayden Luengas breaking 6:00 for the first time in 5:54! Valeria Loza Running a 6:47 in a big effort and Ariel Salinas with a minute PR in the 1600 and breaking 10 for the first time! I can go on and on with the amazing results! PR across the board! These kids are proof that hard work pays off and this is only our 1st season! We hope more kids join us as we get stronger! Track is almost over but soon we begin to prepare for our Cross Country season!!! Join us! I wish this will not be just one of those instances when I say to myself I am going to work harder now from now on but I change back to my old self the next day. I can't afford to make mistakes now. If no one is going to inspire me, I must try my best to inspire myself without any help from anyone. I can't be dependent on anyone all the time. I want them to depend on me but not the other way. I am sure they also have a lot in their hands and the least I can do is not be overly clingy or needy. Thank you God for all the enlightenment today.
