 We are just 2 days away from the beginning of the youth Cross Country Season! Practices begin this Monday August 20th !!! Come one Come All!!! If you have kids ages 6 thru 13 we have an exciting and fun team for them to be a part of! Many will go on to be stars of the local high school cross country and track teams and some will run at the collegiate level! But all will learn an active and healthy life style and become a member of the Whittier Area Running community! Kids will race in the USATF as well as local 5K. They will have pizza parties and team bonding events! Its an amazing experience for all ages! Yes this is about to begin but for some, it is like a dead end already and not even this fun filled and all positive activity can lighten their mood. We might think it will also be that way for us but the good news is, it does not necessarily have to. Again, we just need to believe in the natural kindness of people. Never forget that even the kind ones are not exempted from running into a difficuly situation. This may have affected the way they look at things. We have to be there for them.
